Kraft Foods R&d Assigned Patent for Filter Paper Pod with Coffee Composition

Kraft Foods R&D, Deerfield, Illinois, has been assigned a patent (9,883,683) developed by Julie Almant, Banbury, United Kingdom, for a “filter paper pod with a coffee composition.” The abstract states: “The present invention relates to a composition for making a coffee beverage, the composition having roast and ground coffee having a X50 of from 700 to 1250 .mu.m, and a milk powder with a X50 of from 50 .mu.m to 3 mm, wherein the ratio by weight of the roast and ground coffee to the milk powder is from 4:1 to 2:3.”
