The latest acquisition by a familiar name will include operations in south-central Pennsylvania.
Nestle Waters North America entered into an agreement on Friday to acquire Roaring Spring Water’s customers in the Gettysburg area and a storefront at 1325 Hanover Road in Straban Township, Adams County.
The deal will allow the company to expand its ReadyRefresh by Nestle operations. ReadyRefresh is a beverage delivery service that delivers directly to homes and offices. Deliveries and services operated through this location include the Gettysburg and Lancaster areas as well as counties in eastern Pennsylvania, eastern Maryland, and northern Virginia. This is the company’s first storefront location.
Nestle has around 50 brands of water. ReadyRefresh delivers a variety of those brands including Deer Park, Nestle Pure Life Purified Water, Perrier, and S.Pellegrino in an assortment of sizes and flavors.
Nestle Waters is also eyeing the state for another manufacturing facility. Nestle Waters announced earlier this year that it identified Centre County as a potential location for its third Pennsylvania bottling facility, a proposed $50 million bottling facility for its Deer Park brand. The company announced last month its decision not to pursue a proposed project to source water from Spring Township Water Authority Well 2 in Centre County. The company says it will still continue to pursues opening another facility in Pennsylvania and is hoping to open the facility at a location in northern Centre County.
