Two Inventors From U.s., One From Peru Take Grand Prize in Global Competition for Social Driven Hardware

ASME, the world’s largest organization for mechanical engineers, today announced the three social entrepreneurs named as Grand Prize winners of the 2018 ASME Innovation Showcase (ISHOW), the first global competition to recognize and reward hardware designs with a social purpose.

The hardware designs of two inventors based in the U.S. and a third from Peru were selected from eight finalists who traveled to Washington, D.C. to compete for a share of $500,000 in awards and technical support to help bring their design prototypes to populations in need.
