March 20, 2017) – Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA (MZB) and JavaCycle have launched a partnership to repurpose a castoff byproduct of the coffee roasting process into a beneficial new product for use in America’s gardens and flower beds.
The partnership will produce a first-of-its-kind, sustainable, organic, all-purpose garden fertilizer made with coffee chaff, the lightweight skin that’s shed from the green coffee bean during the roasting process. MZB will provide the coffee chaff from its US operations and JavaCycle will manufacture and sell the fertilizer through a variety channels, according to both companies.
JavaCycle All Purpose Fertilizer is now available for purchase online at Amazon.com; negotiations with other distribution channels and national retailers are currently underway.
“Our fertilizer finds new uses for coffee chaff while offering home gardeners an organic and sustainable fertilizer option that is safe to use, actually smells good and helps build healthy soil,” said James Curren, JavaCycle’s founder/CEO.
