Coffee’s Community Cash for Schools® Program Celebrates 28 Years

Baton Rouge, LA, April 2017 —This year, 796 schools participated in the Community Cash for Schools® program, earning over $321,000 from Proof of Purchase collection.

“We are happy to see so many schools in our local community and across the country utilize this program to advance the education of our students,” said Jodi Conachen, Community Coffee General Manager of Communications.

Now in its 28th year, Community Cash for Schools® has helped schools throughout the region earn millions of dollars by collecting Proofs of Purchase from Community® brand products, including coffee and tea products.

The program is open to local public and private schools from Pre-K through 12th grade. Schools allocate the money earned toward initiatives and projects such as new computers, textbooks, equipment, whiteboards, and other educational necessities.
