“Whereas the old Pathways only had advanced level classes for three of four pathways, the new program now has advanced sections for all five topical modules (the sixth module is a foundational introduction to coffee). This allows for more in-depth education than previously existed for certain subjects,” says Swiss Water Director of Coffee and Canadian SCA Chapter Education Coordinator Mike Strumpf.
Three out of the six modules will be offered: Roasting, Sensory, and Green Coffee. The roasting module will be offered March 28, 29, and 30, the sensory module will take place May 23, 24, and 25, and the green coffee module on November 29 and 30. All offerings will cover the intermediate sections of each module.
