Cafe Nero Hasn’t Paid A Penny In Corporation Tax For Over A Decade


Coffee chain Caffe Nero has not paid a penny in corporation tax for the 11th year on the trot.

The UK-based business, which operates 845 outlets around the world and 650 here, had record sales of £279million in the year to June 2018.

But a potential £4.5million corporation tax bill on its £22.5million profits was wiped out by losses made elsewhere in the group.

These are thought to relate to debt payments linked to 2006, when founder Gerry Ford took the firm private.
