Uganda, Ethiopia Suffer Export Decline In Coffee Exportation


Uganda and Ethiopia, Africa’s leading coffee exporters, have suffered an export decline in the first four months of the coffee calendar amid global falling prices.

Latest records from the International Coffee Organization, ICO, Uganda, the largest exporter in Africa, recorded a nine percent decline from October last year to January.

ICO records also show that Ethiopia, the region’s largest producer, and second largest exporter, also suffered a nine percent decline in that period.
