Local coffee shops have had to adjust to new operations because of COVID-19. After state basketball was shutdown, the owners were worried about the affect it could have on their businesses.
“We were pretty nervous. It was like oh great, here we go,” said Crooked Creek Coffee Owner, DJ Sanchez.
“There was a week there where I couldn’t even get milk and I’m a drive-thru coffee shop,” said The Perfect Cup Owner, Helen Spaulding
“My business was really just set up to be able to go where people are, so obviously when things like basketball tournaments and stuff like that get shut down, it does have a little bit of an effect on me,” said Phil’s Coffee Owner, Philip Derby.
