The second annual San Francisco AeroPress Championship will be hosted by Fellow at their store at 820 Valencia St. in San Francisco on Friday, August 3rd at 6:30PM. Competitors from around the Bay Area will go head-to-head in heats to see who can brew the best cup of coffee using an AeroPress coffee maker. Attendees should look forward to the full “AeroParty” experience, complete with exciting competition and full-blown camaraderie. There are six qualifying regionals total across the United States in 2018, from Honolulu to Denver to Minneapolis and beyond.
The US-made AeroPress was invented by Stanford engineering lecturer Alan Adler. The WAC, now in its eleventh year, is a grassroots event which has grown to nearly 60 national competitions worldwide. Past World Championships have taken place in Seoul, Dublin, Seattle, Rimini, Melbourne, Portland (OR), Milan, London, and Oslo (twice). The Championship was founded in 2008 by world-famous coffee experts Tim Wendelboe and Tim Varney in Oslo, Norway.
