Equator Coffees & Teas came back for a fifth time to the Inc. 5000 list of fast-growing U.S. private companies.
The Marin County-based roaster and cafe operator ranked No. 4,142 with 83 percent revenue growth 2014–2017, the criteria range set by Inc. magazine for the annual list. Revenue last year was $16.6 million, and the expectation is for 10 percent to 15 percent growth this year, according to co-founder and CEO Helen Russell. Equator had virtually the same ranking (No. 4,146) in its last turn on the list, in 2016. The company debuted on the list in 2008 at No. 4,794 and stayed on for the next two years.
