Need more coffee? We do, too. Good news: A photo popped up on Enderly Coffee Co.’s Twitter account Oct. 3 showing an update on their incoming brick-and-mortar coffee shop on Tuckaseegee Road. The address pinned in their update is 2620 Tuckaseegee Road, not far from Freedom Drive.
The staff wrote in the corresponding update, “If you look close, we have a shiny new foundation in this picture. Since then, plumbing has all been connected in and we are moving forward from there. Yes construction does not always fit into MY timeline, but it will be WELL worth the wait, we promise. Love you guys!”
Enderly Coffee Co. was created in 2012 by former teachers Becky and Tony Santoro. Bags of their coffee beans and cups of their brewed coffee can be found around town at places like ROOTS Cafe, Rhino Market &Deli and The Mayobird.
Their coffee shop is putting down roots in their company’s namesake, Enderly Park. Tony Santoro told Creative Loafing earlier this year that the shop will feature wi-fi, food, coffee, teas and other beverages. He envisions it becoming a spot for neighborhood association meetings, poetry slams or just pulling people from other parts of the city into a different neighborhood.
While not available for comment about a time frame for opening the shop, the Enderly Coffee Co. staff wrote in their update, “Plan to hop on over to Enderly Park in the near future for a cup of coffee or an afternoon treat.”
