Exports in the first 11 months of coffee year 2016/17 (Oct/16 to Aug/17) have increased by 5.8% to 113.28 million bags compared to 107.05 million bags in the same period in the last coffee year.
In the 12 months ending August 2017, exports of Arabica totalled 77.73 million bags compared to 71.43 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 45.34 million bags compared to 44.57 million bags.
According to ICO data, India exported 6,18,000 of 60 kg bags of Coffee in August, grew 37.6% as compared to 4,49,000 bags in the same month last year.
India’s exports of Coffee during October to August of 2016-17 Coffee year totalled 5.863 million bags, an increase of 7.5% as against 5.45 million bags in the corresponding period last year.
