Craft coffees and many other choices are available at Evans Brothers Coffee opening 7 a.m. to noon Thursday in the Fifth Street side of 504 E. Sherman Ave. The front of the building, which earlier was KVNI Radio, is Community Bank.
The menu includes several espresso drinks, loose-leaf teas, chai, Nitro cold brew, house-made syrups and signature drinks, affogatos (ice cream and espresso), fresh local pastries and hot breakfast and lunch items. The craft coffee is roasted in the Sandpoint location, and the micro-lot coffees are dripped to order on a Marco SP9 single-cup brewer.
The new place has 45 indoor seats including a community table, bench seating for laptops, a couch and sofa chairs. Outdoor seating in the spring will face Sherman Avenue and McEuen Park.
Owners Rick and Randy
Evans founded Evans Brothers Coffee
over long rides on Chair 6 at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in the winter of 2008-09. They relocated their new families to North Idaho drawn by the sense of community, family and outdoor adventure. Their coffees have won many awards and are offered at Pilgrims’ Market and restaurants in the Inland Northwest and Boise and as guest roasters around the country.
Rick said, “Cd’A is a natural extension for us. We look forward to getting involved in the community. The evolving foodie culture fits well with our coffee.”
