Collins Barrow launches #DefendOurHouse contest for 2017 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings

To celebrate its Gold-level sponsorship of the upcoming 2017 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings in Ottawa, Collins Barrow National is excited to unveil its #DefendOurHouse program and contest.

Running from Dec. 2 to Dec. 10, 2017 at the Canadian Tire Centre, this event determines which four-player curling teams will go on to represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Collins Barrow is inviting fans to join them onsite on Dec. 6 and 8 and via social media to rally behind their team with #DefendOurHouse. It’s also an opportunity to consider how they defend their own house – whether it’s a business, their life’s work, dreams or legacy.

“We’re honoured to partner with Curling Canada on an event that fosters ambition, fortitude and the challenger mindset,” said Rob Kolton, marketing liaison, Collins Barrow National.

“These are defining values for us at Collins Barrow, and we encourage fans to embrace them as they defend their own metaphorical ‘house,'” added Collins Barrow Ottawa partner Joe Wattie.

In conjunction with this event, Collins Barrow is delighted to announce the #DefendOurHouse social media contest that runs from Nov.15 to Dec. 4. Those who enter will be eligible to win one of 15 prize packs, each of which includes:

  • 2 tickets to attend a Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings curling match at the Canadian Tire Centre
  • 2 sponsor lounge passes (including a complimentary meal for both pass holders)
  • 2 official Roar of the Rings/Collins Barrow sponsor pins
  • 2 Collins Barrow #DefendOurHouse scarves

Five of these prize packs will be awarded per week on Nov. 20, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4.

Exclusive to Twitter, this contest allows you to enter by simply writing a tweet, sharing how you defend your “house” – whether it’s your business, your life’s work or dreams. An example of a winning tweet could be: “@CollinsBarrow I never stop fighting for my goals #DefendOurHouse #ROTR2017”

Each person is limited to a single entry, and those who receive the most retweets will be awarded a prize pack. To be eligible, you must include the official hashtags #DefendOurHouse and #ROTR2017, tag @CollinsBarrow and explain how you defend your house.
