Researchers Investigate Whether Coffee Can Stave Off Neurodegenerative Diseases


If you have walked by your local Starbucks or any coffee shop during the scramble of commuters trying to get to work, the line around the block is a clear indication that Americans love their morning Joe.

According to a 2018 Reuters survey commissioned by the National Coffee Association, it was found that 64 percent of Americans drink a cup of java daily. And based on current research, that may not be a bad thing, as drinking coffee regularly may help to protect the brain from neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
