Port City Java partnering with Half United for chic coffee sleeve

Port City Java is partnering with a local non-profit this holiday season to feed children in New Hanover County.

The Wilmington-based cafe is partnering with Half United, the clothing and accessory brand launched in Wilmington. The company feeds children around the world in a one-for-one charitable business model.

The “Giving Back is the New Black,” holiday campaign takes aim at reducing the number of children that go to bed hungry in New Hanover County each night.

Port City Java will sell unique black sleeves with every hot beverage for an additional 50 cents. All proceeds from the sleeve will go to fighting hunger at organizations such as The Food Bank of Southeastern NC, Onslow Kids, Matthew’s Ministry and Harvest Hope Food Bank in Greenville, South Carolina.
