Even though it’s winter, true coffee lovers can appreciate a smooth, rich cold brew any time of the year. But there’s no reason to shell out $5 for a cup when you can just make it at home. Here’s all it takes to create that darkest of delights.
First, figure out how much you want to make: generally, for every cup of ground coffee you’ll need four cups of water. Then choose your beans (go with a dark roast for more flavor) and grind them into a course grind (too fine a grind can make it super bitter). Finally, pour room temperature water over the grounds, put it in the fridge, and let it steep.
