To celebrate Raw Coffee Company turning 10 years old this year, co-owners Kim Thompson and Matt Toogood are releasing a limited edition vintage blend, Raw Vintage.
The hand-crafted blend comes in a special commemorative Raw tin, with Thompson adding: “Raw Vintage is the culmination of our 10 years in business. It’s the knowledge we have collected along the way, the people we have met, our business partners, the incredible farmers we work with all over the world, and our amazing team – who bring these coffees to life every day. Vintage is everything we, as coffee lovers, want in a coffee and we hope everyone loves it as much as we do.”
The limited edition product is a blend of two single origin coffees: complex, vibrant, floral, sweet stone fruit notes from a dry-processed African coffee, partnering with sweet, balanced, full-bodied depth from a Central American coffee. There are flavours of plum and almond toffee, with a long, lingering, dark chocolate finish.
This coffee is best served unadulterated as an espresso or brewed coffee, but if partnered with heated milk, tastes of chocolate nut bar (think Snickers); toffee, brown sugar, brown spices and milk chocolate will emerge.
Presented in a new reusable 500g commemorative storage tin, Raw Vintage retails at AED120 ( US$32.68), and is available online from www.rawcoffeecompany.com or from The Roastery.
