APA-Addis Ababa ( Ethiopia) Ethiopia has earned more than 341 million US dollars from coffee, tea and spices exported between July and November 2017.
Sahlemariam Gebremedhin, senior communication expert at the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Development and Marketing Authority told journalists Wednesday that the country exported 92,136 tonnes of coffee to generate $334.59 million.
The amount of coffee supplied to overseas markets surpassed the target for the reported period by 4,000 tonnes. It also increased by 17,000 tonnes compared to same period the previous year, she added.
Ethiopia plans to earn 1.18 billion US dollars by exporting 291,000 tonnes of coffee, tea and spices in this fiscal year, which runs from July 7, 2017 to July 6, 2018.
