About a year ago, I was grabbing a latte at my favorite local coffee shop and the barista asked if I wanted to try it with oat milk. To be quite honest, I didn’t even realize oats could produce milk, but they do. And it’s delicious.
From that initial sip, I was converted into an oat milk lover, so much so that I needed it in my coffee each morning. Don’t get me wrong, I love all types of non-dairy milks but there’s just something about the smooth consistency and silky texture of oat milk that sets it apart from all the rest. And It seemed as if I wasn’t the only one going crazy for oat milk. All of a sudden, every coffee shop (not to mention Trader Joe’s!) is offering oat milk in addition to more popular alternatives like almond, coconut, and soy.
