Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer signs partnership with CT-based wholesale distributor for his organic coffee line
BOSTON, MA (August 12, 2013) – Aerosmith’s drummer extraordinaire, Joey Kramer, has inked a partnership with Bozzuto’s Inc., a Connecticut-based wholesale distributor, for his organic coffee line, Rockin’ & Roastin’. This month, Rockin’ & Roastin’ will be fully stocked at Bozzuto’s and will be available for purchase by the company’s vast portfolio of independent retailers and grocers in the New England area.
Headquartered in Cheshire, CT, Bozzuto’s Inc. has been a family-owned, leading total service wholesale distributor since 1945. For nearly 70 years, Bozzuto’s has provided goods and services to independently owned retailers in the New England area. As a company, Bozzuto’s understands that their customers’ success depends on their effectiveness and efficiencies as procurement and distribution specialists. Bozzuto’s state-of-the-art distribution centers use the latest technology designed to maximize customer service and offer the most in product variety.
“Bozzuto’s works with some of the best retailers in the business,” says Kramer. “Partnering with a company like Bozzuto’s will allow us to take Rockin’ & Roastin’ to shelves of even more specialty grocers throughout the New England area.”
In May, Kramer announced his partnership with Comfort Foods (N. Andover, MA) who now roasts and packages his trio of small-batch brews: two Dark roasts, from Sumatra and Ethiopia, and one Dark-Medium, hailing from Guatemala. Previously only available for online retail, Comfort Foods and Bozzuto’s are able to meet the demand for Kramer’s rapid expansion into the retail market. Currently the coffee is available in both whole-bean and ground forms and soon, Kramer will unveil a single-serving option.
Through June of 2014, sipping one of Kramer’s three brews also has a delicious charitable benefit. In June, Kramer announced a year-long campaign to donate a portion of his coffee sales to auto-dealership magnate, Ernie Boch, Jr.’s (Boch Enterprises) nonprofit organization, Music Drives Us, which supplies grants for music programs to effect positive changes for people in need throughout New England.
“Ernie has been friends with Joey for many years,” adds Frank Cimler, Kramer’s attorney and Rockin’ & Roastin’ business partner. “They’re both big fans of music and coffee so it made a lot of sense. Rockin’ & Roastin’ will give a deliberate and meaningful contribution from each sale to Music Drives Us to benefit those throughout New England.”
ABOUT ROCKIN’ & ROASTIN’ COFFEE:
Joey Kramer of Aerosmith is a coffee-loving Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer. The story of Joey Kramer’s Rockin’ & Roastin’ organic, custom-roasted coffee blends begins in the field. Unlike “sun grown” coffee that’s cheaper to produce but requires chemical fertilizers and pesticides and leads to the destruction of native rainforests, Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee is lovingly cultivated using the traditional “shade grown” method, under a canopy of indigenous trees. This sustainable practice supports a wide diversity of plant and animal life, provides food and shelter to migrating birds, and helps to filter carbon dioxide from the air, reducing the danger of global warming. There is currently a trio of international blends offered: two Dark roasts, from Sumatra and Ethiopia; and, a Dark-Medium, hailing from Guatemala.
