ESPRESSO ELEVADO VOTED FAVORITE BEVERAGE ARTISAN IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN

P1010005PLYMOUTH, MICHIGAN – Espresso Elevado, an artisan coffee roaster & brew bar in downtown Plymouth, is proud to announce that it has been selected to receive a Local Hero award by the readers of EdibleWOW Magazine in the category of Favorite Beverage Artisan.
Since 2009, the Edible Communities Publications have taken “Best of” nominations in categories including:  Chef/Restaurant, Food Shop, Farm/Farmer, Food/Beverage Artisan, and Non-Profit Organization.  Edible magazines celebrate the local food movements in distinct culinary regions across the United States and Canada, connecting communities, farmers, chefs, and food artisans.  EdibleWOW covers Wayne, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties in Southeastern Michigan.
“We are thrilled to be recognized in this category because it speaks to our C.A.U.S.E., the values that guide how we operate,” says Espresso Elevado founder, Teresa Pilarz.  “On a daily basis we strive to be Connected, Artistic, Unconventional, Sustainable, and Elevated, and it seems that these values resonate with our customers as well.  I think people that come to the shop enjoy reading EdibleWOW for similar reasons; because it connects them to local, sustainable food options in a beautiful way.”
Since opening three years ago, Espresso Elevado has specialized in roasting fair trade & organic beans on-site, carefully selected from small farms & cooperatives.  All of its brewed coffee is hand-poured to bring out the rich, fresh flavor.  Syrups are made from scratch with natural ingredients, and used in original recipes to present truly innovative, hand-crafted beverages.  The shop is located at 606 S. Main Street in Plymouth.  Its website is www.espressoelevado.com.
The other 2014 EdibleWOW Local Hero winners are People’s Food Co-op (Food Shop), The Ravens Club (Restaurant), Michigan Urban Farming Initiative (Farm), and The Henry Ford/Greenfield Village (Non-Profit).
This year’s winners will be recognized at the Greening of Detroit’s Live Love Local event at Shed 3 in Eastern Market on Sunday, August 24th.  Ticket information is available online at www.greeningofdetroit.com.
