Darryl Miller Named Chief Executive Officer Of Fidalgo Coffee
BURLINGTON WA, January 27, 2020 – Fidalgo Bay Coffee, Inc. (Fidalgo Coffee Roasters, Fidalgo Coffee) today announced the appointment of Darryl Miller as President and Chief Executive Officer of the 28-year-old company. The decision unanimously determined by Fidalgo Coffee’s Board of Directors. With the vote, Miller assumes immediate day-to-day leadership of the company and takes a seat on the board. Darryl Miller, a specialty coffee veteran, has served as Fidalgo Coffee’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing since joining the Company in September 2007.
“Darryl is a proven leader with over two decades in wholesale coffee,” said David Evans, Fidalgo’s co-owner and previous president, who now steps into the role of Chief Financial Officer. “He has a remarkable ability to turn a challenge into an opportunity and to focus on what’s important for the company to thrive in specialty coffee. We are excited to have him as our next CEO,” Evans said.
Before joining Fidalgo Coffee, Miller, spent eleven years at Tony’s Coffee in senior management. Previous career experience includes 8 years with US Foods and as Co-Founder and Chef of the Maltby Café. Friends and family informally know him as the “cinnamon role guy.” With his background, Miller is uniquely positioned to understand the needs of his clients, providing world class customer service and expertise.
