9th Annual US AeroPress Coffee Brewing Championship

Indianapolis, IN ‒ The ninth annual US AeroPress Championship will be hosted by Tinker Coffee Co. at The Amp food hall at 1220 Waterway Boulevard in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, September 18th at 4:00PM. 36 competitors from across the US will go head-to-head in heats to see who can brew the most delicious cup of coffee using an AeroPress coffee maker. Coffee experts Austin Patterson (Green Buyer at Tinker Coffee Co.), Chris Casassa (Catalyst Trade), and Courtney Thompson (Certain Feelings) will judge the event and the championship coffee will be sourced from Catalyst Trade. The winner will secure a spot to compete in the World AeroPress Championship final event taking place in March 2022.

Attendees should look forward to the full “AeroParty” experience, complete with food stalls, live music and full-blown camaraderie. Spectators are welcomed and the event is free to attend, though a ticket is required. The World AeroPress Championship final event will be competed online and judged in Melbourne, Australia in March 2022. National champions will work with a local surrogate barista who’ll brew their recipe for a local judging panel, and the crowning of the 2021 champion will be live-streamed around the world.

Tinker Coffee Co. is an Indianapolis-based specialty coffee roaster focused on roasting the finest specialty coffees from around the world and educating people about just how fun and delicious the perfect cup of coffee can be. Founded in 2008, the WAC is a fan-driven global phenomenon that has grown by leaps and bounds to include over 40 national competitions this year.
