A remote island without electricity has become the most desired place to work, after a coffee shop role went viral on social media.

Billy O’Connor and his partner Alice Hayes advertised two management roles for a coffee shop in Great Blasket Island on Facebook ten days ago.

The job listing, which reveals they’re hoping to hire people who are available to work for six months from the 1st April, has since received over 1,000 shares on the platform, in addition to thousands of retweets on Twitter.

The successful candidates will have to live without electricity or hot water, while overseeing a cafe and three cottages – but will get free food and accommodation in return.
