Take a peek at the new Valentine Coffee in the Historic Third Ward
Valentine Coffee Roasters has been providing unmatched hospitality and exceptional coffee at their cafes in Washington Heights and Oak Creek for 13 years. However, the local coffee roaster is officially launching their newest cafe today at 189 N. Milwaukee St. in the Historic Third Ward.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to open here,” co-owner Joe Gilsdorf notes, praising building owner Greg Uhen for inviting them to take over the Milwaukee Street location. “Bella Caffe served the community for two decades, and we aspire to respectfully fill their shoes.”

The cafe, which was announced last spring, features clean modern lines and a soothing palette of grey, blue, and white, as well as artwork featuring Brazilian coffee growers with whom they maintain relationships.
Valentine Third Ward Seating
Seating is available at both bar height and low-top tables, as well as banquette-style seating along the eastern windows, which will soon be augmented with shelving and greenery to create a more inviting atmosphere.

Valentine’s owners, Robb Kashevarof and Gilsdorf, are well-versed in the restaurant business. Gildsdorf began his career in restaurants at the age of 14 and was a co-owner of Nessun Dorma until 2008. And Kashevarof has spent the last two decades in the industry, working for both local establishments such as Ristorante Bartolotta and venues in England, Hawaii, and Oregon.
The two met in the wine industry and became fast friends over their shared passion for coffee, wine, and food. As a result, their approach to coffee reflects not only a thorough understanding of the coffee landscape, but also a dedication to creating balanced flavour profiles extracted from high-quality coffee beans sourced responsibly and transparently.
