Man Turns Old Jiffy Lube Into America’s First Indoor Coffee Drive-Thru

The old Jiffy Lube location in Bettendorf, Iowa is being transformed into the nation’s first fully enclosed double drive-thru coffee and energy bar. Owned by Aidan Singh, the bar will serve as a place for those who need an extra boost of energy throughout the day. The new drive-thru will have two lanes for customers to pull their cars inside, providing a unique experience for those in the high-traffic area.

Singh believes that the location has potential for attracting customers, especially on Wednesdays when kids get out early. He plans to provide a walk-up window for customers to grab a drink and be satisfied on their walk home. The architectural transformation has raised concerns about traffic safety and health hazards, but Singh has addressed these concerns.

The garage doors are open all the time, and the bar features an exhaust system that filters out pollutants from the air. An additional 3000 to 6000 square feet of concrete was poured to hold over 22 cars on the site alone without backing into the street. The renovation process took about five months, with mechanic pits filled in and structurally supported. The bar will open in early March, with hours from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., catering to high schoolers and college students.

Iconic Coffee and Energy Bar will open in early March and will operate from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
