Caribou Coffee Continues Expansion With 2nd Stand-Alone Metro Detroit Location

Caribou Coffee, a brand under Panera Brands company, has opened a second drive-thru and pick-up location in metro Detroit. The 600-square-foot building features the company’s signature blue and brown colors and has a drive-thru and pick-up window. This is the second new location for the Caribou Coffee brand, which largely left Michigan a decade ago. The group previously opened a Caribou Coffee at 22134 Woodward Ave. in Ferndale. Caribou Coffee is a brand under Panera Breads company, which includes Panera Bread and Einstein Bros. Manna Development Group, a Panera Breads franchisee operating 165 bakery-cafes in 10 states, is behind bringing Caribou Coffee back to metro Detroit.

The Allen Park location offers its signature line of coffee and other beverages made with real ingredients, such as real chocolate chips and caramel sauce. The menu also includes teas and a line of “BOUsted” beverages made with caffeine from coffee, plus guarana and ginseng. Caribou Coffee’s food menu includes breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, and snacks.

A ribbon-cutting grand opening will take place next Monday at 10 a.m. at the Allen Park location, with the first 100 guests receiving a free Caribou Coffee mug. A free coffee for a year giveaway is tied to the grand opening, and customers can enter by becoming a Caribou Perks member and making a purchase from March 18 through March 24.
