This Mexican Coffee Giant Is Opening Up Its First US Location in Arizona

Mexican coffee company Caffenio is set to open its first U.S. location in Mesa, Arizona, with an extensive seating area and drive-thru. The company, which has over eight decades of experience in serving 100% Mexican coffee, has a presence in over 50 Mexican cities and over 180 stores. The Mesa location will be designed by architectural firm Stewart+Reindersma and will be located in Mesa’s Fiesta District, near Alma School Road and Southern Avenue.

Caffenio, which started in 1923, is committed to producing beverages made exclusively with 100% Mexican coffee beans grown in the Pluma Hidalgo region of Oaxaca. The company has a large and diverse menu with more than 90 items, including the Kfreeze, an espresso with milk and sweetener served over ice, and popular lattes made with house ice cream and mixed flavors like Nutella and strawberry.

The Mesa location’s menu will likely mirror its Mexican locations, but some of the most popular items include the Kfreeze, a frappuccino topped with house ice cream and other toppings, the Rockaccino, milkshake-style drinks with house ice cream and flavors, classic coffee drinks like cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos, and cafe food like sandwiches, paninis, bagels, and sweet pastries.
