Misha’s Coffee Aims to Open Second Location in May

Misha’s Coffee House was preparing to open their second location on Alexandria’s Waterfront, at 6 Prince St., less than a mile from their current location at 917 King St., last spring.

Then, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies were forced to close or provide only kerbside facilities, and the second location was placed on hold.

Misha’s is preparing to open a second location in May, according to a café employee. The remodelled waterfront house, which was formerly home to Olde Town Gemstones, already has the brand’s iconic orange sign hanging.

A second-floor balcony with views of the Potomac River will be available at the new coffee shop. The operating hours are yet to be announced.

Misha’s first opened in Old Town Alexandria in 1991, and the coffee they roast in-house every day has made it a legendary local hangout.
