Accessibility Is Key Ingredient at Buckhead’s Mend Coffee and Goods

Mend Coffee and Goods is a new coffee shop opening in Buckhead, created by local couple Katherine and Jay Wolf. The shop aims to provide employment opportunities for adults with disabilities and a space that exceeds ADA requirements. The Wolf family’s mission is personal, as Katherine experienced a catastrophic stroke at 26 years old, which led to brain surgery, ICU stay, and numerous operations. After surviving the stroke, the couple founded Hope Heals, a nonprofit organization, and a series of inspirational books. Mend Coffee and Goods serves as a way for the couple to continue sharing their message that true hospitality is accessibility. The shop is located at 3655 Roswell Road Northeast in Buckhead and can be accessed through the video player in the article. The couple is also preparing to open the shop, which will be a part of their message of accessibility in the coffee scene.
