Coffee Shop With a Cause Opens in Cumberland County

Good Ground Coffee Company, a coffee shop in Cumberland County, is aiming to provide employment opportunities for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. The shop, founded by Messiah College graduates Rachel Beatty and Rachel Ferrence, is located at 244 S. 17th St. in Camp Hill. The shop was established in partnership with Peace Promise, a Harrisburg-area nonprofit that has been working with trafficking survivors since 2008. The goal is to employ and teach job and life skills to survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation, helping them achieve their dreams of careers. The shop will host a ribbon cutting on May 14 as part of its grand opening festivities.
