A peek at Vendetta (Italian) Coffee Bar, which opens next week in Wauwatosa
Coffee is a daily habit in Italy. Cappuccino and pastries are served in the mornings. An afternoon pick-me-up is a caffè macchiato. And espresso is a popular drink to have after supper.
Vendetta Coffee Bar, which will open to the public late next week at 7613 W. State St., will pay respect to that culture by serving customers a taste of classic Italian coffee houses.
Bill Haley, Tommy Orlando, and Tommy Orlando Jr., three friends who had a vision for a coffee bar that would allow Milwaukeeans to share their love of Italian coffee and culture, are behind the new facility.
When you go inside Vendetta, you’ll see that the space is as much about history as it is about the modern concept it holds. According to Tommy Orlando, the lure of the room was its old world elegance, which is evident in elements such as the original tin ceiling, exposed cream city brick walls, and the elegant Brunswick bar, which dates back to 1906.
