15-year-old opens local coffee biz
The sign next to a trailer and a line of cars along Highway 13 reads “coffee.”
But perhaps it should read, “Dreams realized here.”
With the assistance of her mother, April Jolma, 15-year-old Ella Jolma has established her own business, Hudson Square Coffee Co., in this trailer located eight miles outside of Ashland.
April, seated at a picnic table in the customer seating area adjacent to the trailer, stated that Ella fell in love with coffee at Starbucks and has since desired to open her own coffee shop.
Although she was a bit reticent with the reporter, Ella stated that she loves everything about coffee and has spent the past couple of years researching what it takes to run a business and testing out her recipes on family and friends.
