There’s nothing like a nice cup of coffee to get your day started, and with most Australians on lockdown, a caffeine fix has never been more important.
Takeaway coffee may be out of the question for others, but that doesn’t mean the flavour can’t be duplicated.
It appears that caffeine addicts have found relief in an unexpected choice – instant coffee.
In fact, the discount has proven such a rage in Woolies stores that Vittoria Coffee sales have soared, with sales going “over the roof.”
“We’ve observed a higher desire for a café experience at home as people spend more time at home, particularly those in lockdown,” a Woolworths spokeswoman told news.com.au.
Vittoria, a family-owned firm, had a significant rise in sales after launching its $10 Freeze Dried Instant Coffee and Coffee Bags just two months ago.
