Little Seed Coffee Roasters to open October 2 in Middlebury
Vermont Business Magazine is a publication dedicated to the business community in On October 2nd, small seed COFFEE ROASTERS, a new member of the Addison County Chamber of Commerce, will bring fresh life to 24 Merchants Row.
Maggie and Anthony Gerakos, the company’s founders, work with green coffee buyers who source high-quality coffee and negotiate pricing with farmers and producers that are better than fair trade. The duo plans to rotate their coffee selections every three months and roast in their Middlebury shop and roastery. They will have 5 single-origin options and one espresso mix available at any given moment.
Little seed COFFEE ROASTERS is committed to not just ensuring that the coffee farmers they work with are appropriately compensated, but also to assisting the larger communities of coffee-growing countries. During each quarterly quarter, the company will donate 5% of its profits to non-profits based in the communities where their coffee is obtained through their “You Sip, We Give” initiative. They also intend to give back to their local Middlebury community by donating money and products.
On the ground floor, there will be a coffee bar and abundant seats, and on the lower level, there will be a very wide communal table, ideal for gatherings or getting work done. The area is intended to be a bright, joyous, and inviting gathering place for the community.
Little seed COFFEE ROASTERS will provide a variety of teas, herbal sodas, and chai lattes in addition to coffee, nitro cold brew, and espresso-based drinks including cappuccinos and lattes. Sweet and savoury pastries from local Vermont bakers, as well as locally produced yoghurts and other seasonal goods, will be available for purchase.
Bags of Little Seed’s coffee will be available for purchase at the shop and online at littleseed.coffee, with shipping accessible throughout the United States. The roastery also has the capability of selling wholesale to interested parties. Little Seed Coffee Roasters is dedicated to making fine coffee accessible to the Middlebury community while also providing an inclusive, inviting environment.
