Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, a leading coffee franchise, has signed two multi-unit development agreements in the Phoenix, Arizona market. The first deal will bring locations to the Chandler and Gilbert areas over the next five years, while the second deal will bring new stores to the Scottsdale-North Phoenix market. Existing franchisees Aaron and Lisa Rutter opened their first location at CityScape in Phoenix in January 2022, and Don and Kate Johnson are the newest franchisees. Multi-unit growth is a significant part of Bad Ass Coffee’s franchise expansion strategy, with Arizona identifying Tempe, Glendale, and Tucson as target markets for expansion.
