Sulthan Bathery: Coffee farmers in Kerala are worried about the coronavirus outbreak as their major trade spots were European countries including Italy and Germany.
Following the virus outbreak and the related restrictions, exports from India were banned in Europe.
If the situation continues like this, coffee farmers will face a huge financial crisis in future.
India produces over 3 lakh tonnes of coffee annually. Out of this, Kerala accounts for 65,000 tonnes of coffee.
