Uganda’s Coffee Exports Up 17 Pct In 4 Years

Uganda’s coffee exports for the last four financial years have increased by 17 percent thanks to government’s efforts, a report issued by the agricultural ministry said on Monday.
The report dubbed, “Agriculture Sector Implementation Status of the NRM Manifesto 2016-21 Commitments” showed that coffee exports increased to 4.17 million (60 kg) bags in financial year 2018-19 from 3.56 million bags in financial year 2015-16, up 17 percent.
The report also said that the value of exports increased by 18 percent to 416.2 million U.S. dollars in the financial year 2018-19 from 351.53 million dollars in the financial year 2015/16.
