In tune with the times, a farmers’ collective in Wayanad —Waywin farmer producer company — has launched Immune Coffee, a blend of the local Robusta coffee with a bouquet of nine herbs and spices like ashwagandha, long pepper, black cumin, dry ginger, black pepper and coriander, long known for their medicinal properties.
The Covid-19 pandemic had led to an increase in demand for “immunity-boosting” products across the world and the farmers’ initiative hopes to cater to this market.
