Starbucks Indonesia opens coffee sanctuary

According to Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson, Indonesia now has the largest coffee destination in Southeast Asia, the Starbucks Dewata Coffee Sanctuary, a 20,000-square-foot store exhibiting local craftsmanship and sparking all five senses, thanks to a partnership with PT Sari Coffee Indonesia.

“We’ve been sourcing Indonesian coffees for over four decades and have always been struck by the sense of community and care for the coffee journey at every step,” he explained. “The Starbucks Dewata Coffee Sanctuary exemplifies our passion for the coffee journey, our continued dedication to Indonesia’s rich coffee culture, and our never-ending goal of forging moments of connection between our partners and customers,” says the company.
