The Specialty Coffee Association is Launching a New Membership Model

The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is set to introduce a major overhaul to its membership program in 2024, focusing on providing value and connectivity to the growing international community. The new model will offer a personalized experience for users, allowing companies to connect all staff to their accounts and provide custom education pathways across SCA programs. Individual membership will include two models: an associate member, free for events, education, and competitions, and a professional membership at $100, which grants voting eligibility and additional promotional benefits. The new model will increase the SCA’s reach and engagement, bringing the value of its research, standards, and programming to the growing international community. The SCA’s CEO, Yannis Apostolopoulos, emphasized the importance of connecting everyone in the coffee ecosystem to improve the industry. The new model is expected to roll out later in 2024.
