Caribou Coffee Workers Protest Working Conditions, Pay


Caribou Coffee workers held a Monday rally in their cars outside the company’s Brooklyn Center headquarters to demand improved safer working conditions for store employees during the coronavirus pandemic.

Last month, workers rallied outside the Caribou store in Roseville calling for the same demands, including PPE in all stores, company-wide paid sick leave and better hazard pay.

On Monday, workers were joined by the Restaurant Opportunities Centers of Minnesota, a nonprofit organization fighting to improve wages and working conditions for the nation’s restaurant workforce.

While the company has made some changes since last month’s rally, it has not gone far enough, the nonprofit said in a statement.
