While I believe that you can consume beverages at any temperature, regardless of the weather or season, I am ecstatic that iced coffee season has arrived.
Once reserved for trips to upscale coffee shops, cold brew is now easier than ever to make at home. From specialised cold brew devices to pre-made cold brew found in the refrigerator section of the grocery store, it has become much easier to prepare a glass of iced coffee.
However, not everyone enjoys cold, unsweetened, black coffee. Therefore, I enjoy sweet cream.
It’s just a simple combination of heavy whipping cream, milk, and coffee syrup, but it transforms an iced cold brew from tasting like 6 a.m. coffee at 6 p.m. to a $7 indulgence.
It’s a great option when you’re craving something sweet but a heavier drink, such as an iced latte, seems excessive.
I will officially state that I prefer pumpkin cream cold brew to pumpkin spiced lattes. At the beginning of pumpkin spice season, it is typically still quite warm, and I find the light foam on top of the lattes more appealing than the thick syrup.
