NCL plans to be the first in the industry to offer the Starbucks experience on all of its ships by the end of 2022. Travelers will be able to order the same hot and cold handcrafted beverages, seasonal blends, and sweet and savoury culinary items as they would at home. They will also have access to the retail products and privileges of the Starbucks Rewards programme on select ships where a licenced store is accessible.
Additionally, Starbucks’ handcrafted espresso beverages will be offered in all major dining room and speciality restaurants, with self-pour coffee stations available at Garden Café, the three-meal buffet on select ships.
‘We are pleased to announce our expanded collaboration, which will provide our guests with the most comprehensive Starbucks experience at sea, just days before we resume operations in Seattle, Starbucks’ hometown,’ said NCL President and CEO Harry Sommer.
Norwegian Joy, Sky, Getaway, and Encore now offer a similar experience, following the establishment of the first licenced store on Norwegian Bliss in 2018, with further stores planned for Norwegian Gem, Epic, Breakaway, Pearl, and Escape. Starbucks’ Nitro Brew was originally served on the Norwegian Sky.
