On the second weekend of the current Premier League season, the Premier League champions host Norwich City at Wembley on Saturday afternoon in pursuit of their first win of the season.
Last Sunday, Pep Guardiola’s team opened their season with a depressing and uninspired 1-0 away defeat to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Harry Kane-less Tottenham Hotspur in North London.
The club has disclosed a wide range of new food options and concourse initiatives that will be implemented this weekend ahead of the return of fans to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Manchester City has also stated that between 1pm and 2pm, half-price food and drink will be available inside the stadium, as part of the club’s statement on the additional food and drink options available starting this weekend.
The official club statement has a complete list of the new local beers from local independent breweries, as well as seven of Manchester’s greatest independent local food operators.
New options include vegan chilli nachos, pizza, and loaded fries, as well as the Garden Gourmet Vegan Sensational burger, which is still available. According to the club, Heineken Zero will now be accessible throughout the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City has also announced the launch of 100 percent recyclable and plastic-free beer glasses, as well as the testing of an “edible coffee cup.” The paper beer cup is made from 100% recyclable paper and card supplied from sustainable sources.
When it comes to the edible coffee cup, Manchester City has announced that fans would have the option of composting the cups if they so desire.
