Starbucks Extends Work-From-Home For HQ Employees To October 2021 And Plans A Remodel


Starbucks Corp. CEO Kevin Johnson told more than 4,000 corporate employees Wednesday that he was extending its work-from-home policy until October 2021 so the Seattle-based coffee chain can reimagine its headquarters in Sodo.

Until Wednesday, Starbucks corporate employees were set to return to the office in January.

In August, Kent-based REI announced it was selling its never-used headquarters to “lean into remote working as an engrained, supported, and normalized model for headquarters employees.” (Facebook bought the campus for $390 million in September.)
