As a thank you for their service, tons of companies announced exclusive discounts and freebies as COVID-19 began ramping up throughout the country. Now, even more retailers are stepping up to the plate with sizable discounts for healthcare workers during National Nurses Week, May 6 through May 12. Most discounts extend to everyone who works in the hospital — nurses or otherwise — and some even apply to military members, teachers, police officers, and firemen.
Starbucks is extending its free coffee giveaway for first responders and health care workers serving on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
“On behalf of everyone at Dunkin’, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to the heroes across America who are tirelessly protecting our communities – the doctors, nurses, first responders and everyone on the front lines of this crisis,” said Celia Cody, Field Marketing Manager for Dunkin’ Brands. “As local business owners who live and work in the communities they serve, our franchisees are committed to supporting those keeping our country running during this crisis, and we are proud to have the opportunity to give back.”
As of March 16, any health care worker or first responder can show a valid ID and receive a free hot or iced coffee at any Circle K location.
We owe our healthcare workers a lifetime of gratitude as they work on the frontline of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. National Health Service (NHS) workers in the UK are working flat out to care for patients affected by coronavirus, risking their own health to do so.
