Costa Coffee customers are rejoicing today after the cafe giant reopened 2,000 of its stores.
The retailer announced 1,100 of its 2,700 branches will reopen for takeaway and delivery customers within the next two weeks, after nearly three months of closure. Some shops in certain locations have already reopened.
Last week Starbucks announced it would be closing up to 400 stores in the U-S and Canada over the next 18 months.
La Colombe, the Philadelphia-based coffee giant, is taking pages out of the airport and pharmacy handbooks in retrofitting 30 of its cafes in six cities for safety.
